Vineyard Kids

We love having children as part of our church family and seeing them encounter Jesus. Our vision is that every child would build a lasting relationship with Jesus.

What do Sundays look like for kids?

We want to equip the children to engage with the Bible, pray, be filled with the Holy Spirit, worship, and share Jesus with others. We create an environment where the children can do all of that in a loving, safe community whilst having a whole lot of fun! We also want to serve the families to raise their children as followers of Jesus.

Refreshments are available from 10am, and then everyone starts off together in the main service at 10:15am. At SV we believe it’s important for the kids to be a part of our worship time as a whole church. There is an area in the main hall with some extra worship resources to help the children engage and feel part of the church family.

After worship, children are signed into their groups in the gym by their parents/carers. We have two main groups:

  • Ignite is our group for preschoolers age 2-4
  • Burn is our group for school age children 5-11

0-2s are welcome in the gym or the main service but must always be with a responsible parent or carer.

The children have lots of time for free play. This is followed by kid’s worship, snacks, a story, prayer ministry and craft. At the end of the service, parents come to the gym to sign their children out.
