Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21). Our bank statements and diary capture what we value. Where we invest our time, energy, and money speak volumes of where our priorities lie. But, in this passage, Jesus is saying something more; he’s saying if we want to see an area of life grow, then invest in that area. If we bought shares in a company, our concern in the wellbeing of that company would no doubt increase. Likewise, if we invest time and energy and finances in matters of eternal importance, our concern for those matters grows!
