What to expect

If you’re thinking about coming along to our weekly service, we hope that the following information will help you to get a good impression of what to expect when you arrive.

Before the start of the service we have a selection of refreshments, so feel free to grab a tea or coffee, pastries and fruit.

The service starts at 10.00am with 25 minutes of contemporary worship.  Children and teenagers (their groups are called Ignite, Burn and Blaze) are invited to a nearby hall for games and age-appropriate teaching activities.  There is then a talk lasting 25-30 minutes based on the Bible and our experiences of following Jesus, which is practical and relevant to our lives today.  After the talk, there will be an opportunity for prayer if you would like it. There will also be more refreshments after the service and a chance to chat and make new friends.

We aim to make our services as accessible as possible, especially for people who are new to Sheffield Vineyard.  We really hope you enjoy coming along and if it’s your first visit, Karen and Alex Griffin (Church Leaders) would love to meet you.

Children and teenagers

Kids are really welcome (especially noisy ones) and all that we do is designed to capture younger minds.  If you have children aged between 3 and 16 with you, they are welcome to join one of our groups:

Age: 3 – 4

School year: Reception – 6

School year: 7+

These groups start after the worship and children need to be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.  Ignite, Burn and Blaze are activity packed groups where kids learn what it means to follow Jesus in relevant, contemporary and fun ways.
