Lord, keep me close

We should ask that God never to let us get away with wrong.  This should be practiced by any leader.  Wimber said he avoided arrogance because God gave him lots of failure.  The truth is we make mistakes and we fail to do what we know to be right – we use these to be kept on a short leash.

Good leaders are those who are accountable, servants, functional instead of positional, pleased when other are promoted above them, and not insecure.  A good leader is aware of their faults and flaws, who walk with a limp, and who asks ‘what could I do better?’

With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment. Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. Proverbs 3:5-6
