Sunday 9th December, 10.00am

Heeley Hall, Birkdale School, Endcliffe Crescent, S10 3ED

You’re invited to the Sheffield Vineyard Church Christmas Carol Service.  A celebration of the birth of Jesus with carols, the big band, hot chocolate & marshmallows, mince pies, and lots of festive cheer.

Everyone is welcome.

What to expect

If you’re thinking about coming along to our carol service, we hope that the following information will help you to get a good impression of what to expect when you arrive.

The morning service starts at 10.00am with a quartet playing, and a selection of hot drinks (with marshmallows if you’d like) and mince pies served for 10 minutes.

We will then have a number of Christmas carols and more contemporary festive songs mixed with short readings from the Bible.  We will show a comical, but a poignant animated movie highlighting the nativity story.  Children and teenagers are then invited to a nearby hall for 10-minutes to create a Christingle they can take home (it’s their decision – they won’t be forced to go), meanwhile, the grown-ups will enjoy a short talk on the joy and relevance of Christmas today.   After the talk, the children will return with their creations and we’ll have some final carols and time of prayer.  There will also be more refreshments after the service and a chance to chat and make new friends.

We aim to make our services as accessible as possible, especially for people who are new to Sheffield Vineyard.  We really hope you enjoy coming along and if it’s your first visit, Karen and Alex Griffin (Church Leaders) would love to meet you.

Children and teenagers

Kids are really welcome (especially noisy ones) and all that we do is designed to capture younger minds.
