This talk is a continuation of our series on Jonah. We see that Jonah was very happy for God to show mercy to him and his people, but he had a problem with God’s mercy towards his enemies. Jonah’s problem was that he held his love for his nation up higher than his love for God. It’s not that loving one’s own nation is bad, but holding it up higher than God meant an ideal became an idol. Ever wondered if there is anything that you are holding up higher than God in you life?
